Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 27, 2026 · Version 1.0.0
PixelLens was engineered from day one with a strict zero-telemetry architecture. We do not collect, store, transmit, or monetize any of your data. Ever.
100% On-Device Execution
All DOM measurements, CSS box models, vector scaling, and AST code transformations execute exclusively in Safari's memory sandbox on your local machine.
Zero External Servers
PixelLens does not operate backend servers, tracking pixels, or diagnostic endpoints. When you use PixelLens, zero bytes leave your computer.
No Analytics or Telemetry
We do not track user behavior, page URLs, inspect history, session durations, or hardware configurations. No analytics SDK is bundled into the extension.
No Account Required
PixelLens has no login, no account creation, and no subscription paywalls. You download the extension and it works immediately.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
When you install and use PixelLens, the software does not collect or process:
- Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email address, IP address, or location.
- Browsing history, page URLs, or domain names you visit.
- Passwords, form data, credit card information, or session cookies on inspected pages.
- Source code, styling attributes, or proprietary assets of inspected websites.
2. Safari Extension Permissions
Under Apple Safari Web Extension specifications, PixelLens requests only the minimal set of permissions required to perform developer and design inspections:
Granted only when you actively trigger PixelLens via the extension popup. Used exclusively to inspect DOM elements, computed CSS styles, and media assets in your current tab.
Used to inject the lightweight visual overlay scripts (Element CSS, Asset Extractor, Site Intel, Element to Code) into the active tab upon user activation.
Allows you to copy computed CSS properties, scaled SVG XML strings, Markdown reports, or Tailwind/React code snippets directly to your system clipboard when clicking "Copy".
Allows you to save scaled SVG graphics, web images, or generated code components to your local Downloads folder when you explicitly click a download button.
3. Third-Party Services and Analytics
PixelLens contains zero third-party SDKs, telemetry frameworks, advertising networks, or analytics services. No network connections are initiated by the extension to any third-party domain at any time.
4. Children's Privacy
PixelLens does not collect any personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13, in strict compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features or platform updates. Any revisions will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" timestamp.
